Trader Joe's Files Paperwork to Open Store on Swann Avenue
The store would be located where Shapes gym is in South Tampa.
Attention, specialty grocery store shoppers: Trader Joe's is headed to South Tampa.
A variance request for permitting and constructing was recently filed by officials with the chain store to occupy 3808 Swann Avenue, where Shapes gym is now located, according to the Tampa Bay Times. The request asks for additional signage near the property, the Times said.
The gourmet chain store, which sells items like gluten free battered halibut and mixed berry scone mix has a Tampa Bay location in Sarasota, in addition to a location in Gainesville, according to their website.
