Kahwa Coffee Opening Drive-Through Location on Henderson

The coffee chain is opening its sixth location, a drive-through, in South Tampa.

Expanding its locations to six in Tampa Bay, Kahwa Coffee announced plans to open a South Tampa location with a twist: a drive-through.

The shop is expected to open in October at 3928 Henderson Boulevard, and will be the first free-standing Kahwa and the largest, at 3,000 square feet.

We recently talked to owner Raphael Perrier about the South Tampa location.

Patch: What sets Kahwa coffee apart from other chains in Tampa Bay?

Perrier: Kahwa is locally-owned, and the product is locally-roasted. Equally, they only select 100 percent Arabica beans of the highest quality from all over the world that are roasted and packaged on demand to guarantee freshness. Each location also becomes a part of the community where it is located.

Patch: How was the South Tampa location chosen?

Perrier: We feel like that area lacks a local high quality coffee shop that can service people on the go with a drive thru or people that want to get the full café experience seven days a week. People that live and work in that area have been asking us to open a shop in their neighborhood.

Patch: What does the company hope  to bring to South Tampa coffee lovers?

Perrier: Each Kahwa location strives to bring each customer a unique café experience with exquisite products and a superior level of service. We hope to become known as the place to go for coffee as well as become a meeting place for the community.
