Irish Pub, Gastrobar and Lounge Open Doors in South Tampa

The businesses join the likes of Oxford Exchange, which recently opened in South Tampa.

In the past year, a plethora of new businesses have popped up in the downtown Tampa district.

Oxford Exchange, Bamboozle Tea Lounge, Le Mouton Noir Bakehouse and Sapphire Room are among a handful that have made Tampa Bay their home.

This week, three businesses boasting live jazz, cocktails and pet-friendly accommodations were added to the growing list: Paddywagon Irish Pub at Tampa and Polk streets, Anise Global Gastrobar at Ashley and Zack streets and Crumb & Cork at Franklin and Madison streets.

"We couldn't be more thankful to everyone who has supported us from the beginning.  Most bars take time to ramp up, but we have exceeded expectations due to customers spreading the word about us," said Chris Gladieux, co-owner of Paddywagon.

Here's highlights of each new business from a news release from the Tampa Downtown Partnership:

  • Paddywagon Irish Pub: Pet and smoker friendly, 13 TV's, 24 taps with craft beer, cigars, full liquor bar, steel tip darts, a pool table, trivia, patio.
  • Anise Global Gastrobar: Craft cocktails, DJ on Saturday nights, Bloody Mary bar during weekend brunches.
  • Crumb & Cork: Cheese and wine pairings, live jazz and champagne.
