RNC to Wreak Havoc With School Buses
School bus schedules on South Tampa's islands will be effected by the Republican National Convention.
Next month's Republican National Convention will cause school bus drivers whose routes go to Davis and Harbour Islands some headaches, but bus routes and contingency plans are being reviewed county wide to ensure that kids in Hillsborough get to school safely and on time. School officials are working on alternate routes, which drivers will have to take a practice run through before the school year begins, but cannot finalize anything yet because the city is still working on defining road closures. Backup routes will also be in place if there is a problem.
