South Tampa Man Faces Child Porn Charges

Scott Andrew Linabury was charged with six counts of possessing child pornography, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

A South Tampa man was arrested and charged with six counts of possessing child pornography, authorities said Wednesday. Scott Andrew Linabury, 51, of 3228 W. Fielder St., admitted to viewing the child porn, according to investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.  Numerous computer media items taken from Linabury's home were found to contain "numerous videos depicting children from the ages of 5 to 15 engaged in various sexual activities," sheriff's office spokesperson Debbie Carter wrote in a media release. Linabury was released Wednesday after posting $12,000 bond, according to jail records. He was listed as being self-employed.

MacDill Soldier Busted on Child Porn Charges

U.S. Army soldier Thomas Meyer, who was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, was arrested by federal agents.

A U.S. Army soldier stationed at MacDill Air Force Base was arrested by federal agents on child pornography and obscenity charges, the U.S. Attorney's Office said Wednesday in a media release. Thomas K. Meyer, 42, of Valrico, allegedly engaged in sexually explicit chats with a 15-year-old Pennsylvania girl and an undercover detective in Kentucky whom Meyer thought was a 13-year-old girl. According to a criminal complaint, Meyer asked the 15-year-old girl to send him three nude photographs online and discussed meeting her at a hotel for sex. Meyer is also alleged to have sent explicit videos of himself to the agent he believed was a 13-year-old and encouraged the supposed girl to send him sexually explicit pictures of herself. South Tampa Postal Worker Charged with Possession of Child Pornography

Llyod Lee Edge of Sun Bay South was arrested on multiple counts of child pornography on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

A South Tampa postal worker was arrested on charges of possessing child pornography, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. On Jan. 13, HCSO's Internet Sexual Predator Unit seized the computer of Llyod Lee Edge, 59, of Sun Bay South, during a search warrant execution at Edge's residence. During the examination of the computer equipment, detectives found files depicting children approximately 12 years old and younger engaged in sexual activities, the sheriff’s office said. Edge was also in possession of child pornography files that he made available for distribution, the sheriff’s office said. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, Edge was arrested at is home at 4728 Iowa Ave., and booked into the Hillsborough County Jail. Edge is charged …
