High School Thespians Take Stage at One-Act Play Festival

Plant and Robinson high schools competed in the District 9 One-Act Play Festival that was held last week at the University of South Florida.

Labor Day Weekend in South Tampa

The beginning of college football, theme parties and the passing of a legend marked Labor Day 2011.

Labor Day is the traditional last day of summer, often celebrated with picnics and other outdoor activities. It is also the beginning of the college football season.  College football fans gathered at Beef O'Brady's on MacDill Avenue to watch their favorite teams kickoff the new season.  Mangroves on South Howard Avenue held a "White Party" to commemorate the last day to wear white until spring.  This year - with the beginning of fall traditions - Tampa Bay also saw an end with the passing of Lee Roy Selmon, former Tampa Bay Buccaneer.
