Soccer Networking Group Is Good For Business
Many South Tampa professionals have found a networking home with the Knock It Around Network, a group that stages soccer games at unorthodox times of day.
For most people, 5:30 a.m. is a time that is spent lying in bed. For a group of Tampa soccer enthusiasts, it’s time spent sprinting up and down the basketball courts of the Interbay Glover YMCA – at least on Tuesday and Thurday mornings. Dubbed the Knock It Around Network, the gathering was initiated by Luke Cardillo, a Coldwell Bank real estate agent whose offices are in Hyde Park. He formed the group in 2007 to bring together business professionals with a common passion, soccer. “A good friend of mine and I were hanging out at MacDinton's for Champions League games in 2007 when the real estate market was really slow,” Cardillo said.
