5 Things to Do This Weekend

Patch picks the best happenings in the area this weekend, Nov. 12-13.

1. Opa! Eat, dance and be Greek at the 2011 Tampa Greek Festival from 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Expect live music and dancers performing in traditional costumes as well as lots of Greek dishes to choose from. Get an early start on your holiday shopping by browsing through the various booths featuring jewelry, accessories, books, music and religious items. The festival is at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 2418 W Swann Ave. Admission is $2 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit LifePath Hospice. 2. Patel Conservatory Rock School students will perform both classic and new rock-and-roll tunes and show off their growing rock roots during Rock School Blow Out at 1 p.m. Saturday on the …
