Community Update

Love this place, not only because I can walk to it, but the bartenders are friendly and deal with the yacht and pearls crowd, along with the rest of us, with speed and aplomb. The food is Chicago inspired and I'm still pouting after they took the short rib off the menu, but the raw bar rocks and the appetizers (mozzarella balls!) and tuna poke are worth the price...they are one of the few places of this stripe that still offer live music, well-placed tables offer romantic or raucous meals depending on your mood, and there is always someone or something entertaining at the bar; my last visit included a sun drenched skipper with a few too many Belvedere's slammed a $100 bill on the bar while daring a dazzling blonde with pearls to punch him in the face...and that was before 9pm...where else can you dance to Frank Sinatra and have a decent steak since Gallagher's closed over in Channelside..?? Timpano's is a winner...
