See Any Flooding Around South Tampa?

It's not the worst of the rain South Tampa will see this summer, but already some roads are submerged.

Each summer, South Tampa suffers from some of the worst cases of flooding around the entire Tampa Bay area.

This year, we're barely into rainy season and already we can see instances of cars submerged up to their doors as they slowly work their way through areas of deep water. On Wednesday, for several hours by flooding.

The Swann Avenue corridor has been improved in recent years by construction near the intersection with Bayshore, where flooding once threatened to seize the average car's engine. But much of South Tampa is still affected in low lying areas where the water pools and creates troubling areas for drivers and pedestrians alike.
