2012 "Run for Shelter" 5K Run/Walk

This race organized by the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser's office benefits the children's charities Alpha House, The Children's Home, Joshua House, Judeo Christian Health Clinic & Tampa Bay Academy of Hope.

Race-day registration opens at 5pm. The race begins at 7pm and should be completed about 9pm. 

To accommodate the event, several streets will be closed at 4:30pm, including 18th Street between 8th and 9th avenues, 9th Avenue between 18th and 19th streets, 19th Street between 8th and Palm avenues, and Palm Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and 21st Street, and Nuccio Parkway between Nebraska Avenue and Interstate 4.

Food and refreshments will be served in Centennial Park after the race.
