Services for Amanda Pierce, Plant High Senior Killed in Car Crash

A scholarship fund has been set up in Amanda Pierce's name to benefit a Plant High senior planning a career in special education.

Friends, family, and the school community are mourning the passing of from injuries suffered in a car accident in Tallahassee.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue. The funeral home's phone number is (813) 876-2421.

There will be a Celebration of Life  Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 509 N. Florida Ave., Tampa. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

A scholarship fund has been set up at GTE Federal Credit Union, with details available soon. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations toward a scholarship in Amanda's name for a Plant High senior planning a career in special education. Donations can be made at any GTE Financial credit union. The account name is Amanda O'Keefe Pierce.

Amands is survived by her mother, Laurie Pierce, her father and stepmother, Ronald and Tamra Pierce, her sister, Jessica, and her brother, Chase.
