Robinson High Student Aces ACT Exam

The high school senior is among two in Hillsborough to ace the college entrance exam.

Kevin Mutchnick of Robinson High scored a perfect 36 on the ACT college entrance exam, according to TBO.com.

It is the highest score a student can attain on the grueling pre-college test.

The junior is one of only two Hillsborough County students to achieve that feat. The other is Suvetha Ravichandran, a senior at Hillsborough High.

They are:

  • Ian Ludden, a senior at Bloomingdale High
  • Haoqing Wang, a junior of King High
  • Ana Cheng of Steinbrenner High
  • Nathaniel Lee of Steinbrenner High

Judy Pressley, the college and career counselor at Steinbrenner High, told TBO.com: "It is quite an accomplishment. It just doesn't happen much — anywhere," referring to the pair of students who aced the standardized test.

How rare is the feat? TBO.com reports that only 24 students out of 112,000 in Florida received a perfect score on SATs. Out of the 24, only five also had a perfect score on the written portion of the exam.
