Primrose School's Grand Opening is Next Week

This just in from Carolynn Smith of Seven Marketing:

Determined to make a difference in the lives of Tampa children and their families, area residents Jana and Richard Radtke and Christy Blackard opened Primrose School of South Tampa on August 19.

The school features the high-quality, Balanced Learning® curriculum, providing students with the right foundation for success in school and life. Primrose Schools, the nation's leader in educational child care with more than 260 schools nationwide, will make its grand entrance into South Tampa, located at 1700 W. Kennedy Boulevard. Primrose is an accredited preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience.

To mark the official entrance of Primrose Schools into South Tampa, the Radtkes will invite area families to a grand opening event on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is open to the public.

Richard and Jana Radtke discovered Primrose Schools when searching for an early child care option for their own children – they wanted a strong educational foundation with a focus on character development.  After finding Primrose, the couple knew it would be a great fit for both their personal values and for the local community. Shortly thereafter, they opened their very first Primrose School in Texas in 1995.

Now, Richard and Jana own two Primrose schools in Florida – Primrose School of Cross Creek and Primrose School of Tampa Palms – and saw a need in South Tampa for a quality childcare and education program.

"We are excited to bring the Primrose educational child care experience, its unparalleled curriculum and unique culture to South Tampa,” said Jana. “Our goal is to help children have fun building Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts® while giving parents the peace of mind they need and deserve.”

The 22,700 square foot Primrose School of South Tampa is the 8th school in the Tampa market that will offer the exclusive Balanced Learning curriculum for children ages six weeks to five years old and through after-school programs for elementary aged students.

Developed by and taught exclusively at Primrose Schools, Balanced Learning blends teacher-directed and child-initiated activities with a special emphasis on character development. The Radtkes said the new school will provide an unmatched educational child care experience to area families, and noted that it has already positively impacted the local economy by adding over 60 new jobs, and $6.6 million in project costs. The school features 18 private classrooms with state-of-the-art wireless technology.

Outdoors, separate and secure age-appropriate playgrounds will accommodate each stage of the children's early development with equipment specifically designed to help them develop and grow their gross motor skills. Children also develop their fine motor skills and love of growing fresh fruits and vegetables in the Primrose Patch – a garden on the school’s property.

As safety is a top priority, the new school also features the official Primrose Schools Safe School Plan, which provides guidelines to ensure ongoing safety measures are in place and parents as well as staff members are prepared for any kind of emergency.

A password-protected website keeps parents informed of the emergency procedures and any critical information in the case of a situation requiring immediate attention at the school.
