South Tampa Democrats Gathering for Presidential Debate

The group will meet on Wednesday night.

The first presidential debate between Republican candidate Gov. Mitt Romney and incumbent President Barack Obama will be held Wednesday night.

To watch the debate - the first of four this month, according to The Huffington Post - the South Tampa Democratics are gathering at CDB's Southside Restaurant, 3671 S. Westshore Boulevard.

The group plans to get together from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. The debate starts at 9 p.m., and will be televised on major television networks.

"It's a way to get to know other Democrats in the neighborhood and visit with them," said Jane Gibbons, chair of the South Tampa Democrats.
