As the Gasparilla Distance Classic winds its way through South Tampa, runners are enjoying bottled Zypherhills water. Runners and spectators hoping for a morning coffee from Starbucks found a limited menu due to the City of Tampa's boil water notice.

TBO.com reported that Maggiano's Little Italy and P.F. Chang's China Bistro were closed yesterday due to the issue with the water.

South Tampa residents who get their water from the city are being asked to boil their water until Sunday afternoon.

A power outage at the City of Tampa’s David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility is the reason for the extra precautions. The outage has caused a temporary low pressure problem for some Tampa Water Department Customers and a complete loss of service for others, according to the city’s website.
