Local Romney Supporters React to Speech at National Gypsum Company

Anyone else notice the irony of Romney preaching from a pulpit placed in National Gypsum's warehouse? Romney states that 25% of U.S. mortgage foreclosures are in the state of Florida. (The state of Florida has one of the highest percentages of homes built with toxic drywall. Some of those alleged cases were built with drywall from National Gypsum.)

Which was more toxic? Romney, or the drywall?

no. not really. a home that sold for a million bucks to an illegal alien making 7$ an hour, thats now worth 400,000 is gunna go to foreclosure with or without bad drywall. but more to the point, the claims of toxic drywall specifically against national drywall were in the vast minority. I'd wager they were the result of either the rare deffective product or ambulance chaser mentality.

Republicans need to send a crystal clear message to the Republican National Committee, that having a RINO like Romney anointed as the RNC's "chosen one" won't be tolerated or allowed any longer. We had that last time with McCain, and previously with Dole. The presidency of George W. Bush could have been as conservative as many of us conservatives had hoped, had it not been for the machinations of arch-RINO Karl Rove, who had Bush's ear and misplaced trust as advisor to the president. The true, hardcore conservatives, the faithbased variety who are pro-life, pro-sanctity of marriage and the family, who firmly support the Bill of Rights such as our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms, need to reassert our presence in the GOP and burn down the "big tent." the brand of "Republicanism" that's allowed the infiltration of the GOP by "fiscal conservatives," Log Cabin "Republicans," and "Republicans for Choice." Those adherent to such beliefs would be more welcome in the DemocRAT Party.

Romney is the best all around candidate. Newt had his chance and failed the test of leadership in the House ( just ask the GOP members that pushed him aside). Why replace one failed leader (Obama) with another failed leader (Newt) ?

bwahaha... republicans were ALWAYS the fiscally conservative ones. the party has been hijacked by the religious right.
if you want to protect the sanctity of marriage you shouldnt be worrying about WHO marries, but rather you should make divorce illegal, and if you really want to go full stop, make adultery a capital crime.

scottrey, i realize it is a crime in many states, but it is a crime that either carries little punishment, or is rarely enforced. if you want to 'protect marriage' then start enforcing the laws and make new ones as needed.
marriage is not a biblical principle. the chineese were getting married 1500 years before the oldest jewish texts that became part of the old testament. marriage is religious TO YOU. there is no logical argument that stipulates it must be religious (and the same flavor of religion) to everyone. for the record i didnt argue that the modern breed of conservatives arent fiscally conservative. my argument is that the issue of fiscal policy has taken the back seat to matters of faith.
