Buddy Brew Draws Voters Heading to Cast Ballots

The coffee shop is at 2020 W. Kennedy Blvd. in south Tampa.

Their coffees hail from countries like Kenya and Tanzania, and Mitt Romney once set up shop there to greet locals.

On Election Day, patrons at Buddy Brew Coffee, 2020 W. Kennedy Blvd., talked business on cell phones and pounded the keys on their laptops while encouraging each other to stop by the polls before days end.

Owner Dave Ward voted this morning at the Kate Jackson Community Center in south Tampa, undeterred by raindrops and long lines.

Ward said his political views are easily described with a question.

"Where did all the good ones go?" he said. "If I had my choice, I'd fire 'em all," he said, laughing.

His advice for someone running for office?

"Be representative of your constituency."
