Buckhorn to Meet Public For RNC Talks

Mayor Bob Buckhorn will meet with Tampa residents to discuss the impact the Republican National Convention will have on area businesses and residents.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn wants to let the public know what they can expect at this time next month when the Republican National Convention rolls into town.

Through three different town hall meetings, Buckhorn will outline what is going to happen in the weeks leading up to the event and what the effect will be on the city, it's residents and businesses.

The mayor will be joined by representatives from the Tampa Police Department, Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Office, Tampa Fire Rescue, Transportation and Parking Divisions, Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority, Department of Solid Waste and Environmental Program Management, and the Office of Special Events will be on hand to share with information and answer questions.

The City of Tampa will host the Republican National Convention from Aug.27-30.

The three town hall meetings are open to the public and will be held at the following venues and times:
