Homes, Unlocked Cars Burglarized

Recent reports from Tampa Police District 1's crime blotter.

Monday, Sept. 26

  • At some time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., unknown suspects entered the garage at 5808 S. Gordon Ave. by prying open the rear door. The suspects then entered the home through an unlocked door. Several areas of the home were ransacked. An iPad, a flat screen television, about 100 pieces of jewelry and a safe were taken. Multiple pieces of sterling silver were also taken.

Tuesday, Sept. 27

  • At some time between 5 and 7 a.m., an unknown suspect entered six unlocked cars in the neighborhood of 711 S. Delaware Ave. An iPod and cash were taken.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

  • At some time between 3 and 6 a.m. an unknown suspect broke out the right rear window of the victim’s car parked at 4501 W. Cleveland St. A purse was taken that contained a checkbook.

Thursday, Sept. 29

  • At about 5 a.m. an unknown suspect forced open the front door of the Guggino Family Eye Clinic at 3115 W. Swann Ave. Once inside, the suspect removed multiple pairs of Oakley sunglasses and then fled.
