What People Are Saying on Patch

This week in quotes on South Tampa Patch.

Kathlee672: “Is this a joke? I've had more (and better) craft beer in a Michigan town of 2000.” -

Emc: “Has anyone with such an implementation tracked its use? How many and how often are residents referring to these maps? Does it make them feel safer? Is that the point of public crime maps?” - .

Loreli: “Work with volunteers, fosters, rescues and any and all means to make Hillsborough a no kill shelter. Wish all the Florida counties would adopt a NO KILL policy!!” -

Holly Schwarzmann: “Cigar City Brewery is a great place to go for craft beers. The tasting room has a nice, laid-back vibe and you can sample all of their drafts or buy some to go. I'm glad they're getting so much recognition for their work: Cigar City Brewing was rated the "#3 Best Brewery in the World" by RateBeer.com in 2010's Ratebeer's Best Awards; and then the #"4 Best Brewery in the World" in 2011's polling's of 10,000+ breweries. You can also buy their beers at the Publix in Temple Terrace if you don't want to drive all the way to Dale Mabry.
I haven't been able to go to a tasting event at Cold Storage Craft Brewery, but I've tried their beers on draft at a few restaurants in Seminole Heights and while they only make a few types, they do them right. I haven't been to Dunedin Brewery and the Tampa Bay Brewing Co. yet, but I would love to try. Tampa really does have a great local beer scene if you know where to look!
Cigar Castle in Temple Terrace has a large selection of local and craft beers if you can tolerate the overwhelming cigar smell...or you can just buy them and take them with you.” -

Mark B.: “1. Offer low cost or free in some cases spay and neutering to anyone who wants it. 2. Offer tax breaks to those who foster animals in their homes until they are adopted out.” - .

Lyn Dornseif: “Congratulations Hillsborough County! The rest of the country will be watching you and hopefully realizing that they too can end the killing!” -
