Local Employees Give Back to the Planet

To celebrate Earth Day, employees from the Tampa office of CA Technologies recently took time out of their work day to “Go Green” and volunteered at Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo. Volunteers spent the day cleaning up the flower beds throughout the park for the zoo’s beautification project.

“Giving back to the communities where our employees live and work is an important part of our company culture,” said Erica Christensen, vice president, Corporate Social Responsibility, CA Technologies. “Whether it's planting trees, revitalizing distressed neighborhoods or cleaning local beaches and parks, CA employees will again come together and work to strengthen the communities where we do business."

Re-opened at its current site in 1988, Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo has been ranked the number one zoo in the U.S. and recognized by the State of Florida as a center for Florida wildlife conservation and biodiversity. The zoo houses more than 1,500 Florida native animals and serves as an endangered species conservation. As the regions only dedicated zoological garden, it was designed to enhance quality of life in greater Tampa Bay as an affordable leisure destination and center for education.
