Here's a weekend roundup of information and events.

Saturday

-The Tampa Theatre continues its Summer Classics series with two screenings of Oscar winner Casablanca. The 1942 gem, starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, still wows viewers with its story of a love triangle set against the background of World War II. Screenings are at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday

-Tampa residents -- from second graders to adults -- are invited to participate in Tampa's Got Talent, a local talent competition Sunday at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Winners will receive scholarships to the Patel Conservatory at the Straz Center. Auditions begin at noon. No charge to participate. Pre-registration is required. Call 813-222-6453 for information.

-This is the last weekend to catch the Ansel Adams exhibition at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. "Classic Images: Photography by Ansel Adams" closes Sunday, July 10.

 

-Adults, it’s time again for Computer Boot Camp at the John F. Germany Public Library. Sunday’s workshop - Email for Beginners – begins at 1 p.m. Registration in person required no earlier than one hour before the start of the program.

 

-Weather Watch - Scattered thunderstorms remain in the area with a 50 percent chance of rain on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's high will reach 91 degrees. The temperature will fall 77 degrees in the evening. On Sunday, the temp will hit 93 degrees during the day. At night, the temperature will drop to 77 degrees.
