St. John's Varsity Volleyball Team Wins Championship

The school is at 906 S. Orleans Avenue in Tampa.

This just in from St. John's Episcopal Parish Day School:

The Varsity Volleyball team at St. John’s School has ended their season with a win in the championship game to take the title. 

The girls beat Berkeley Preparatory School on Nov. 1 to win the League prize.  Headmaster Gordon Rode said of the win: “I am so proud of our girls. They played with spirit and sportsmanship, epitomizing the ideal we strive for at St. John’s.”

The team was coached by Sofia Rivera.  The Form IX and X (7th and 8th grade) girls on the team were Olivia Porcaro, Anders Douglas, Marie Harwell, Abagail Sponsler, Caitlin Zettel, Samantha Verdisco, Kaitlin Murray, Sterling Purdy, Anika Moffitt, Lucy Wilkinson, and Raquel Pullara.

St. John’s Episcopal Parish Day school is the second oldest Episcopal school in Florida.
