Radio Drive Celebrates Metropolitan Ministries' Years of Service

Seven Clear Channel stations will broadcast and collect donations during "40 Years Drive."

This just in from David Bledsoe at Metropolitan Ministries:

Metropolitan Ministries is celebrating a special milestone in 2012 with its 40th year of service to the greater Tampa area by marking the occasion with a “40 Years Drive" on Friday, Nov. 16.

Seven Clear Channel radio stations will be collecting food at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, and Westfield malls in Citrus Park, Brandon and Countryside.  Tens of thousands of pounds of food are expected from area donors, including Hillsborough County Commissioner Al Higginbotham, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Everest University Online, Laser Spine Institute, PCL Civil Constructors, Smoothie King and the Tampa Downtown Partnership.

The Tampa Bay Times Forum is also offering ticket vouchers to see the University of Florida Gators take on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders in exchange for a donation of at least 10 non-perishable food items to Metropolitan Ministries.

Each donation of 10 food items entitles the donor to one ticket voucher, with a limit of four vouchers per household. Vouchers can be redeemed at the Tampa Bay Times Forum ticket office for the game on Sunday, November 18, at 4 p.m., and are available while supplies last.
