Keller Williams in South Tampa Hosting Fundraiser for Girl Battling Syndrome

The event on Feb. 23 will include a dunk tank, a bounce house and prizes.

From Keller Williams Cares:

Keller Williams Realty of South Tampa is hosting a Family Fun Day on February 23, 2013 from 11a.m. until 2 p.m. at 3502 Henderson Boulevard to raise funds for 6-year-old Anna-Saphia, who is battling Klippel-Trenaunay-Weber Syndrome.

Lotte Rogers, Anna-Saphia’s mother and agent in the Keller Williams Realty South Tampa Market Center, invites the public to join in a day full of fun to benefit a wonderful cause.

Anna-Saphia, a brilliant kindergartener, was diagnosed with KTW when she was only 18 months old. This exceedingly rare birth defect is caused by a malformation of small blood vessels under the skin, leaving a port wine stain birthmark. Hemangiomas is also a common characteristic, causing an affected limb to become enlarged. Anna-Saphia’s left side has been affected by this, causing her left leg to swell exceedingly larger than normal and preventing her from completing simple daily tasks.

Having undergone extensive surgeries, physical therapy and daily treatments, none of which yielded intended results, the next step for this brave little girl is to receive specialized treatment at the Vascular Anomalies Clinic at Boston Children’s Hospital this March. Fingers are crossed that doctors will create a successful treatment plan that will give Anna-Saphia a better quality of life.

KW Cares Family Fun Day will include putt-putt golf, a dunk tank, bounce house, bounce slide, raffle prizes and refreshments. All donations will benefit Anna-Saphia’s care and travel expenses for her doctor’s appointment in Boston. The public is encouraged to attend to help fund efforts to find a cure.  Donations are also accepted through 1Voice Foundation, an organization who supports children with cancer.
