Along with this Thursday, a portion of wil be transformed into a registry "how to" course for brides.
The first-ever is spearheaded by Williams-Sonoma and Pottery Barn and will include live music, food, in store raffles and cooking technique demonstrations. Vendors from around the village will be on hand to treat guests to sample products and discounts on items.
"We thought, why not add vendors that will help promote weddings, bridal showers, baby showers and get people from the stores and make it an outside event," Hyde Park Village marketing coordinator Kali TenBieg said. "We're excited to have a wedding going along with this, and Sophie's Bakery is doing a cake."
is amongst a list of businesses that will be present at Thursday's event. Other vendors including Grymes Canon Florist, Joan's Catering, , , and more.
Those interested in building a registry can learn first hand from the full staff at Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma in an interactive environment.
"There will be people there showing the different ways to create a registry and help them if they are ready to build one," TenBieg said. "I just thing that sort of environment will be very helpful to a lot of people."
