Little Greek Restaurants Help Keep Tampa Clean

The chain restaurant operates in locations across Tampa Bay, and is assisting in a coastal clean-up on March 16.

From John M. Williams:

Little Greek Restaurants and Tampa Bay Watch are teaming up to keep Tampa’s coasts clean. According to Tampa Bay Watch, marine debris is a worldwide problem; 14 billion pounds of trash end up in the oceans yearly.

Tampa Bay Watch is a nonprofit stewardship program dedicated entirely to the protection and restoration of the marine and wetland environments of Tampa Bay. Saturday, March 16, Tampa Bay Watch is hosting their annual Coastal Clean-Up event.

Little Greek Restaurants will provide bottled water to all of the hard-working Coastal Clean-Up volunteers on Saturday during the event. Afterwards, stop into your neighborhood Little Greek Restaurant, make a purchase and put your receipt into the jar by the register.

At the end of the day, each Little Greek Restaurant will tally up all the receipts and contribute 10 percent of that total to Tampa Bay Watch.
