Two New Books Will Narrate the Rich History of Tampa and Hyde Park

Two books highlighting the history of Tampa and Hyde Park will be released on Monday, May 7, TBO.com reports.

Tampa's Hyde Park is the latest in Arcadia Publishing's Images of America series.

Book author Del Acosta is Tampa’s former historic preservation manager and an architectural historian. Acosta's Tampa's Hyde Park includes more than 200 vintage photographs, according to TBO.com.

Also on Monday, Arcadia will release Vintage Tampa Storefronts and Scenes by John V. Cinchett. His book, too, will narrate the history of the city through a vast collection of vintage photographs.

Cinchett is a third-generation Tampa native and local history writer who dedicates his efforts to the preservation and promotion of historic Tampa photographs.
