Health Advisory Issued for Davis Islands Beach

Samples were taken that show bacteria that's "above threshold."

A health advisory has been issued for Davis Islands Beach after the Hillsborough County Health Department found it at a "potential risk to the bathing public."

Samples taken on Monday were "above threshold" for enterococci bacteria, according to a news release from county officials. The beach will be re-sampled on Monday, June 17.

When new samples indicate that the water is within a satisfactory range, the advisory will be lifted, the release said.
