Blue Bell Ice Cream Cools Off Firefighters

(Tampa, Fla.) -- Tuesday, July 15, 2014, Melissa Brooks from Blue Bell Ice Cream stopped by Fire Rescue Station 14 at 1325 S. Church Ave. in Tampa to deliver ice cream and thank the firefighters for their service to our community.

It was one of three stations Blue Bell visited that day. It’s a tradition they started six years ago in Tampa Bay of visiting local fire stations to thank them and share delicious frozen treats with firefighters during National Ice Cream Month.  Because firefighters have the hottest job during the “coolest” month, Blue Bell stocks their freezers with a variety of flavors. Although the idea started here in Tampa, it has been picked up in other markets across the country where Blue Bell is sold.  As a company, Blue Bell believes in the importance of giving back, and recognizing those who help keep us out of harm’s way.
