Wallpaper -  You either love it or hate it!  On one hand, it’s not as easy to install or change as paint is.  But on the other hand, it can make a much bolder and more interesting statement in your home.  Let me come clean and admit that I got my start in design as a summer helper for my mom’s interior design studio doing wallpaper removal.  The removal chemical fumes clouded my judgment for many years and I wouldn’t even consider wallpaper!  But, today there are so many different ways that it can be used to enlarge or brighten a room, make a statement in a powder bath, or as art in playrooms and/or bedrooms. I have changed my tune and now consider it a great option for any home!

My favorite room to use wallpaper in is the powder room. A customer can really get creative by making a big design statement that is not too overwhelming because of the size of the room. Homeowners can really glam it up for their guests, by focusing on creating a posh powder potty that makes a big and bold statement in their guest bath.

As a new home builder Tampa, we love to select wallpaper, that  pairs bold coastal colors with an earthy texture. This will really ground the room and present an elegant refined feel. 

You can really go wild with wallpaper in a child’s bedroom or playroom.  Select a print that reflects your child’s personality, or a favorite pastime. Bright colors and pure creativity can come together to establish a theme for a fun room that your child may never want to leave!

The good news is there are so many different types and textures of wallpaper available these days, that there is something for everyone and any style of home.  Even if you promised yourself that you would never put wallpaper in your home (like me), you have to reconsider it as an option!
