God and Schools, I Say It's Up To Us

What is all this foolishness I see all over the internet about God not being allowed in schools and that's the reason we see the evil like what happened in Connecticut? I did not realize that God needed permission to be in certain places.  Is God now subjected to the laws of men?  The United States Congress can now decide where the omnipotent God can or cannot be?

People, God is not in schools, or buses, or trains, or planes, God is not even in churches. God and good is in the hearts of men, just like the devil and evil is in the hearts of men.  When a man has God in his heart, wherever that man goes, God goes with him, even to schools.  Had God/good been in the heart of the Connecticut shooter, he would not have entered the school on a murderous rampage, regardless of whether or not the students at the school were allowed to say a prayer before class started.

When you live in a country that prides itself on religious freedom, our children ends up in schools with Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Rastafarians and others.  Exactly which of the gods should be allowed in schools when all religions see God through their own spectacles?  One solution would be for Christian children to go to Christian schools; Muslims go to Muslim schools etc. etc. But then we would be complaining about how religion is causing division. Oh wait, it already does.

This is the best response to that issue I have heard. Thank you for putting into words what so many of us think.

Schools are no place for superstitious hocus pocus like religion to be fed to kids. It's bad enough that their Neanderthal parents brainwash them to believe in their adult santa clause. Schools are supposed to educate kids, not dumb them down. America is falling way down on education. There is no time to make them think that some hypothetical God created them. They won't believe that hype when they grow up. They're not as naive as their parents. They should be taught right & wrong, not to act like they have to be good to brown nose kiss some non existing vengeful spirit.

If there is a God, he surely hates the butt kissers that use his name for every evil of man since time began.

If there was a God, he would rather people lived right because that's the way we are a opposed to doing good for the alterior motive of avoiding the wrath of him because we really think he is a heartless God that will smite us if we blink wrong. Any God that can forgive man, but demanded a blood sacrifice, when it wasn't needed, would be a God not worthy of homage. To brainwash kids with that crap isn't the school's job to pervert these kids.
