Earlier this week, we asked Patch readers if President Barack Obama was out of touch.

Here’s what a reader of South Tampa-Hyde Park Patch had to say:

1) There are 13.5 million officially unemployed people in our nation, and the number that have not worked for half a year has risen from 43.9 percent to 45.5 percent in the past month. Labor force participation is at an all time low of 64.2 percent which means that too many people have left the labor force because they think they can’t find work, or they can’t afford to look. In statistical la-la land, if you stop looking, you're no longer counted as unemployed.

2) The economy isn't going to recover very soon, we have too much entitlements and trying to increase more of them. We have Politicians saying we must do something but they're the ones who created the debacle. I believe, the insanity coming from washington on results of the same ingredients that caused this mess must be changed. The change that needs changing are the Politicians themselves, That includes OBAMA (yes we can guy). Now, as long as people refuse to look at the problem caused by the Politicians themselves who by the way, keep blaming someone else for the problem they created; this debacle will continue.
