What Do You Recommend at Estela's?

What's your favorite menu item from one of Tampa's most successful Mexican restaurant brands?

"What Do You Recommend?" is an occasional feature that asks Patch readers to weigh in on their favorite menu items at local restaurants and bars.

Estela's Mexican Restaurant has long been a fixture on Davis Islands, where restaurants have come and gone in recent years like tourists who ventured over the wrong bridge out of downtown.

The authentic Mexican food and vibe of Estela's has made them such a success that they now operate a second Tampa store on South Dale Mabry and another in St. Petersburg.

Whether it's a traditional taco, a stuffed pepper or a bowl Mexican chile, Estela's has a wide enough ranging selection to puzzle most any diner.

So, we want to know what you think. If someone's visiting for the first time, what do they HAVE to try? Post your menu picks in the comment section below.

If you ever get up to North Texax, try the encheladas & Margs at The Jalapeno Tree. They're wonderful.
