Truck Overturns on I-275, Blocking Traffic
The truck was hauling concrete when it overturned near Howard Avenue.
A truck hauling concrete overturned on I-275 near Howard Avenue Friday morning, closing portions of the highway.
The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting that Elroy Ramirez, 29, of Tampa was driving the truck north on I-275, when its trailer load of concrete shifted. The shift caused the trailer to sway back and forth.
The driver lost control of the truck, which overturned. The single-vehicle crash closed portions of I-275 until 11:30 a.m. A passenger in the truck, 21-year-old Christopher Morales of Tampa, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Tampa General Hospital.
