"In 12 years of school, King never made less than an A on a report card, and she registered a perfect score, 2400, on the SAT," the story notes.
But despite a demanding academic workload as part of the International Baccalaureate program, King also lettered in cross country, soccer, flag football and track for three straight years at Robinson.
"People asked me all the time, 'How do you find time to study and practice and play all those sports?' " King told TBO. "My answer is, 'How do you not find the time for sports?' "
While sports are a passion for King, it's her exceptional performance in the classroom that helped propel her to the next level. She's set to study medicine at the University of Virginia on a full academic scholarship, TBO reports.
