Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich will attend a rally in Tampa on Monday afternoon, his campaign announced.
Gingrich will be at Tampa Jet Center, 4751 Jim Walter Blvd., from 1-3 p.m. Monday for a grassroots rally hosted by the Hillsborough County Republican Party.
Also scheduled to attend are former GOP candidate Herman Cain and Michael Reagan, son of President Ronald Reagan and a former radio host.
Gingrich and two of his fellow Republican candidates, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, have been campaigning around Tampa Bay and across Florida in advance of Tuesday's Presidential Preference Primary. Romney is slated for a stop in Dunedin on Monday afternoon. Santorum canceled a visit to Sarasota on Sunday to be with his ailing 18-month-old daughter.
GOP candidate Ron Paul has opted to skip campaigning in Florida to focus on other states.
