Mayor Bob Buckhorn Appoints Dennis Rogero Chief of Staff

Rogero was the City of Tampa's director for budget and neighborhood empowerment.

Mayor Bob Buckhorn announced today that he has appointed Dennis Rogero as his Chief of Staff. Rogero is currently the City of Tampa’s Director for Budget and Neighborhood Empowerment, overseeing budget and neighborhood services departments.

“Over the last two years, Dennis has proved himself to be a critical part of our efforts. He has excelled in his role as Budget Director, and possesses a working knowledge of every city department and the challenges they face,” said Mayor Bob Buckhorn. “Dennis is uniquely prepared to assume this job, and I look forward to working even more closely with him.”

Rogero started with the City of Tampa in 2009 as the Budget Operations Manager. He was promoted to Budget Officer that same year, and appointed to his current position in February 2012. 

Rogero will assume the responsibilities of Chief of Staff on May 5, 2013. His salary will be $153,004.
