It's a bird, it's a plane, it's ... the green machine? 

The giant Patch RV — 31 feet long and 8 feet wide — is lumbering through the 19 Tampa Bay towns we cover. We are making stops at local events and visiting businesses and organizations. We're promoting Patch and collecting a ton of canned goods for Feeding America Tampa Bay.

Monday, May 7

We'll be parked outside Buddy Brew Coffee, 2020 W. Kennedy Blvd., from 8-10 a.m. and giving away some free Patch gear. Stop by and donate a canned good or sign up for our email newsletter and we'll treat you to a free coffee!

We'll also be at Swann Avenue Market & Deli, 1021 W. Swann Ave., from noon to 2 p.m. offering free Patch swag and collecting food donations.

You can also help our neighbors in need by dropping off canned goods or nonperishables at any of our other partners:

• Rainbow Food Mart, 1421 S. Howard Ave.
