Free Public Skating at Tampa Bay Times Forum

The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20.

This just in from the Tampa Bay Lightning:

The Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Times Forum will open up the ice at the arena this Saturday, October 20 from 6-9 p.m. for a free public skate.  

The event is open to fans of all skill levels, but all interested must go to the Lightning's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/Lightning.NHL, to RSVP.

Parking for those attending the event is available at a discounted rate of $5 in the Forum West Lot located between the Times Forum and the Marriott Waterside.

All guests can then enter through the XO VIP Entrance off the West Plaza. Skating sessions will last for 45 minutes each with a Zamboni flood in between each.

Fans are encouraged to bring their own skates, but they will also be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.  

Free water, cookies and popcorn will also be provided.  ThunderBug and the Lightning Girls will be on hand to help with raffles and giveaways during each session and mingle with all in attendance.
