Convenient Cleaners Coming to South Tampa
A new business will fill the vacant Farm Stores location on Henderson Blvd.
A former Farm Stores location is being transformed into a dry cleaners set to open in the last week of next month.
Convenient Cleaners is currently renovating the space at 4075 Henderson Blvd into a full service cleaners complete with a drive-thru. The company offers free residential and business pickup and delivery service as well as 24-hour drop off at several locations in the Bay area, but this is the company's first South Tampa full service store.
"We know there's a lot of dry cleaners in this general area, but we feel like there hasn't been a dry cleaner like us," owner and co-founder of Convenient Cleaners Chris Whitney said. "We want to change the way people think of dry cleaning. We use environmentally-friendly chemicals and we will also be paperless and utilize email receipts and communications with our customers."
Whitney is excited about the prospect of a South Tampa store and is looking for ways to separate the business from the competition.
"We are also going to be filling a valuable need for many by providing high-quality Buddy Brew coffee from our drive-thru," Whitney said. "People want their dry cleaning close to home and our location on Henderson is a perfect for the surrounding neighborhoods. There are numerous schools within a mile which is ideal for parents to come by before or after drop-off."
Convenient Cleaners currently has storefront drop boxes at 4830 West Kennedy Blvd. Lobby Suite 193,– (corner of Westshore and Kennedy) and 401 East Jackson Street, Lobby Suite 103 (downtown Tampa). Also available are two free standing drop boxes in South Tampa at the following locations: 201 East Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa and 501 East Kennedy Blvd. at M&I Bank Plaza in downtown Tampa (drop box located in mail room by UPS and FedEx).
