Bayshore Boulevard has been blocked off from South Rome Avenue to West Swann Avenue because of flooding, according to Lt. Donny Peters of the Tampa Police Department.

There was no timetable for when the South Tampa street would reopen. Heavy rain is expected throughout Sunday evening and into Monday as Tropical Storm Debby moves through the Gulf of Mexico.

I live a little ways from Bayshore, and I'm always on it, but I've never seen it like this. The storm surge must be awful. The Soho area is getting clearer, though, and Howard was no longer flooded as of 9pm.
