Murals for Mutts, Inc. announces a pet mural fundraiser in Hillsborough County.  The mural is located at the site of the new facility for the Animal Coalition of Tampa located at 502 N. Gilchrist Avenue and will directly benefit the organization.  ART for ACT, is one of the first few murals Anna Hamilton is painting in Hillsborough County after the ongoing success of her murals in Pinellas County in Dunedin, Gulfport, Largo and St. Petersburg.

ART for AC T has already been started with paintings of animals that are a part of the legacy of the Animal Coalition of Tampa. One of the first paintings is in honor of Blackie, as described by Linda Hamilton, Executive Director of ACT, “Blackie is the feral cat that found me before I knew that all cats did not have warm, loving, safe homes. Through a circuitous route to change his fate, Animal Coalition of Tampa was born.” Look for Blackie’s portrait along with other clinic cats and dogs as well as a beautiful portrait of Jasmin Kung, the ultimate feral cat advocate and volunteer.    

The mural is both a tribute to those pets no longer with us and a place to honor those still in our lives that give us the unconditional love that only a beloved pet can give.  If you would like to see your pet’s portrait on the ART for ACT mural, contact Dawn at muralsformutts@gmail.com or 727-902-1671. The fee is $125 per portrait.  Murals for Mutts will donate $25 of the fee directly back to ACT.
