On Saturday, Sept. 24, former users and staff of Tampa's Carnegie Library (the former Tampa Free Public Library on 7th Avenue) are invited to bring their library-related photographs, memorabilia, artifacts, and memories to the John F. Germany Public Library for scanning and recording.
These treasures will become part of the digital library-history archive as the library system prepares for its 100th anniversary in 2017.
Scanning and recording begin at 10 a.m.
The John F. Germany Public Library is at 900 N. Ashley Dr. in downtown Tampa. For more information, call 813-273-3652.
