D.U.I. DEFENDANTS - BEWARE OF THE VEHICLE IMMOBILZATION AGENCY SCAMS
D.U.I. DEFENDANTS - BEWARE OF THE VEHICLE IMMOBILZATION AGENCY SCAMS
(Florida Statute 316.193 (13)
ALERT ! ...D.U.I. Defendants who have been court ordered to have your
vehicles immobilized for any period of 10 - 90 days. The
average expense for a 10 day immobilization is @ $75.00 (total) Do NOT pay by
the day.
INSIST upon the business that you choose to use for this service THAT
THEY SHOW YOU a copy of their business license ..in the EXACT same name as what
appears on every county's PROVIDER LIST.
INSIST upon the business that they ALSO show you a copy of their
F.D.L.E. clearance.
(Florida Department of Law Enforcement... criminal background check)
Immobilization Agency's and or Impound/Towing Business's are NOT allowed to hire
a FELON as an employee to do a D.U.I. Vehicle Immobilization.
Judges are actually court ordering DEFENDANTS to call and contact
UNLICENSED business's to provide a Vehicle Immobilization. (Due to a
prior D.U.I. arrest)
Probation Officers as well are hand delivering a list of UNLICENSED
business's or personally refer a business name and number to Defendants
to call to have their vehicle immobilized per their court order from the
Judge.
BEWARE..... of the Vehicle Immobilization Agency's SCAMS,
that are currently taking place in each and every county in the State
of Florida.
If you have been court ordered to have your vehicle immobilized for
10 - 90 days. USE GREAT CAUTION with the list of Vehicle Immobilization
Providers List...that you will be given to call.
The MAJORITY of these business's that YOUR
county Judges and Probation Officers are ordering you to contact do NOT
even have a FICTITIOUS NAME with the State of Florida to be operating as a
business.
The MAJORITY of the business's on the Pasco, Hillsborough
and Polk County Vehicle Immobilization Provider List...do NOT even have
a business tax license to be operating as a business in ANY
county.
Impound and Towing company's are notorious for making a
Defendant believe that they MUST have their vehicle
REMOVED/IMPOUNDED due to their arrest for a DUI."
Do NOT believe ANY Towing or Impound business who would suggest to
you that this is the procedure.
Do NOT allow ANYONE to REMOVE your vehicle from your
premises.
Many business's that are on each county's vehicle immobilization provider
list are subcontracting/outsourcing. They are sending an
UNLICENSED/UNAUTHORIZED person to provide a what is a court
ordered procedure for you. Many of these business's are also sending a
FELON to your home to do this D.U.I. vehicle immobilization for you. Do NOT
leave your cash and documents in the vehicle and allow ANYONE to immobilize your
vehicle when you are NOT present.
Understand and realize that you very well may be paying a FELON to
immobilize your vehicle. As bizarre as this may sound....this activity
is occurring every day in the MAJORITY of counties in the State
of Florida.
Do NOT allow any business to lead you to believe "that you MUST
permit them put what is referred to as a BOOT on your vehicle. They are obvious
objects on your vehicle and it is NO ONE's business but yours and the Judge that
you received a D.U.I. The fact that you received a D.U.I. is often a well
learned lesson and is an expensive learning experience.
Do NOT allow anyone to REMOVE your vehicle from your premises.
That is NOT a vehicle immobilization per Florida Statute 316.193.
An IMPOUND is NOT an vehicle immobilization. In the event
that you would allow someone to take possession of and tow your vehicle away and
off of your property. IF this occurs it will be EXTREMELY costly for you
to get your vehicle back from these SHADY BUSINESS PEOPLE.
Please Contact Your Local Chief Judge, and any other Judges to
inquire as to WHY?
"He/She would be court ordering you to PAY an UNLICENSED BUSINESS who
has NO fictitious name with the State of Florida to be providing a COURT ORDERED
PROCEDURE/vehicle immobilization to a DEFENDANT.
If you have concerns or questions regarding this UNETHICAL activity
feel free to contact me. I have been in the vehicle immobilization business for
11 years. I am OUTRAGED at what has been allowed to happen to what was
at one time...... A VERY HONEST AND HONORABLE BUSINESS TO OWN.
I Remain Sincerely Concerned,
